About the Old Firm Forum (see
below)
We
at www.rangersfansvcelticfans.com are not daft,
we know that we will have more than our fair share
of people who will come on to this forum just
to slag people off. That's the nature of the beast
when it comes to football fans. This forum has
been set up as a kind of experiment in human behavior
to (hopefully) promote humour as opposed to hatred
between the rival fans of Rangers and Celtic football
clubs. The overall aim is to create a platform
where supporters of each club vent their frustrations
towards one another where nothing gets hurt but
some pride. However there are certain different
rules which we ask you to respect that apply to
each forum. See below for details.

Forum
moderators
In
order to keep a degree of order on this Old Firm
Forum, which is a potential powder keg after all,
we have appointed a 'Referee' to administrate
the site. He will keep a fair and a strictly non-biased
watchful eye over the whole board, and will have
ultimate power over everything. Next in the pecking
order is the site moderators which fall into two
categories, the Green-GOD(1)/Green
Mhods(5) and the Blue-GOD(1)/Blue
Mods(5) , both of which have the right
to book/ban members if they get out of hand. If
you fancy a bit of fun and are capable of dishing
out a bit of fair Judgment then get in
touch.

Site
aim
Turning
a negative into a positive with humour over hatred.
We don't intend, or expect, to turn our members
into angels, but to give them a platform where
they can say 'hey I'm proud of who I am
and what culture I've come from, and I should
have the freedom to say it without fear of falling
foul to political correct obsessed nanny states'.
Rivalry with another culture can exist in good
spirit as long as we can express it without harming
or hating one another. One way to achieve this
is through humour, as humour only is a safe, workable
and wise way to do it, and remembering that laughing
at ones self is more admirable than laughing at
someone else's expense. The religious rivalry
is, like it or not, the strength that makes Rangers
and Celtic what they are today and it won't just
go away. We are simply experimenting with a new,
wiser and realistic way to deal with it.
